Sayed Hussein al-Qazwini
Having been born into a prestigious and scholarly family; a
house of virtue and nobility akin to that of his honored ancestors, Sayed Hussein
al-Qazwini is the son of Ayatollah Sayed Mortada al-Qazwini, who currently
leads prayers in the shrine of Imam Husayn in Karbala, Iraq. Sayed Hussein
al-Qazwini was raised in America and is a graduate from University of California,
Berkeley with a BA in Islamic Studies. Upon completing his secular studies,
he later married and moved to Karbala, Iraq where he currently resides and
continues his Islamic studies under highly honored religious figures including
his grandfather. Sayed Hussein al-Qazwini also teaches classes in the Islamic
Seminary and leads the noon prayers at the Holy shrine of Imam Husayn (as)
daily.
